Most cats hate having their nails trimmed. Ours did too.
So we created something that allows them to do it on their own
Drop your cat's favorite treats into the holes. The nail file material covers all interior surfaces.
Your cat reaches in to fish them out. Each pass over the nail file material gently files down their sharp claws.
When the nail file paper smooths out, peel it off and stick on a fresh sheet from a refill pack. Simple maintenance.
WHY IT WORKS
Pre-cut peel-and-stick sheets allow for easy replacement. One refill pack lasts most cats at least twelve months.
We invented this design. There are cheap low-quality knockoffs on Amazon (buyer beware). This is the one that started the craze.
Others use toxic materials (like pine) and flimsy designs. We use high-quality, durable, cat-safe oak wood, because we actually care about cats.
An option for cats who hate clippers, grinders, or being held. Not a replacement for vet care, just a calmer Tuesday.

OUR STORY
Mugi turns into a ninja the second she has her paws touched. Kusa, our Maine Coon, hides under the bed when he hears the grinder. Beifong and Seymour are our two visually-impaired rescues that aren't afraid of much, but they don't like nail clippers and grinders either.
We tried every clipper, every grinder, every trim-at-the-vet trick. Nothing worked. So we designed the box you see here. That prototype is still in our living room. The version we sell now is its grown-up cousin: same idea, better wood, replaceable nail file paper, and a patent so the imitations can't imitate, but more importantly, don't hurt your cat.

Most cats walk up to it on their own once treats are inside. If yours is shy, start by sprinkling their favorite treats, toys, or catnip around the outside, then place a few in the holes. About 9 in 10 cats engage in the first session.
Yes — nail file paper (just like what we humans use on our own nails) sticks to the interior of the box on all sides, so every time your cat reaches in, the front of their claws drags across it. It works gradually, gently filing down their sharp claws. Most owners notice a difference after a week of regular play.
It's the same gentle 120 grit aluminum oxide nail file material used on human nail files. Cats interact with the surface using their claws, not their paw pads. We've tested it with our own five (very judgmental) animals for over two years.
We invented this design and have a patent on it. The knockoffs use thinner wood or cardboard, toxic materials such as pine, use soft felt (which does nothing) instead of nail file material, and don't last past a few months. Ours uses solid oak wood and pre-cut refill sheets so the box itself lasts years.
Depends on how much your cat plays and if you take care of the paper. For one cat, most people swap sheets every 6-12 months. For a multi-cat household, every 6 months is typical. A refill pack is $19.99.
No. It's a daily maintenance tool that keeps the front claws shorter and reduces the need for full trims. We still recommend regular vet checkups, especially for back claws, senior cats, and kittens.
Free shipping on all U.S. orders. Most orders go out within one business day from our warehouse and arrive in 3–5 business days on domestic orders. International orders can be 5-21 business days depending on region.
If you tried everything, send it back within 30 days for a refund (subject to fees). We'd rather have it in a home where it gets used than collecting dust on a shelf.
